Neuropsychological deticits are common in epilepsy and the nature of deficits could be understood better by integrating information from several sources. In this context, this study aims to find out the nature of neuropsychological deficits in children with epilepsy, and correlate the same as measured by LNNB-C with EEG for localization and lateralization. Accordingly, 10 children with epilepsy in the study group and II in the control group, aged 8–14 years, were assessed with LNNB-C. EEG data was collected from the case files. Results indicated that the study group had significant neuropsychological deficits in several areas despite general intelligence. LNNB-C could significantly differentiate between both groups and showed a high degree of concordance with EEG (70%) and clinical foci (80%) for organic brain dysfunction. These findings indicate that LNNB-C can be used for neuropsychological assessment, and also for validating and complementing the EEG data in children with epilepsy.
