Impaired Attention, Memory and Reasoning: Predictor Components of Drug Addiction

Present investigation was aimed to establish the role of impaired memory functions, cognitive functioning, digit span attention as a predictor components of heroin addicts. Wechsler Memory Scale Wechsler digit span test and Raven's Progressive Matrices were administered on 100 male heroin addicts and 100 normal controls. Discriminant functional analysis determined the percentage of reliability of discrimination and misc1assifications in terms of the cognitive measures, memory measures and reported the best discriminant capacity for the heroin addicts than normals while attention during limited exposure have reported the substantial possibility of misc1assification.
