Efficacy of Psychotherapeutic Intervention (Behavior Therapy) with Dissociative (Conversion) Disorder: A Case of Trance and Possession

This a is a case report of 30 years old man studied up to 5 th class, was a farmer and businessman had problem of being possessed by Babuji, Shivguru and other Lords (Dissociative Disorder). In Dissociative Disorder, two or more distinct personalities alternate in the same person. There is no uniform established therapeutic intervention measure for treating trance and possession disorder patient. The majority of techniques used in treatment are from a psychodynamic or cognitive-behavioral orientation. Behavior therapy is an effective treatment for a diverse array of psychiatric condition. Here we report a case of Dissociative disorder (Trance and Possession) and effectiveness of behavior therapy in this disorder.
