In view of limited available tools to assess neuro-cognitive and behavioural deficits, particularly in Indian context, Scale for Assessment of Neuro-cognitive-behavioural Deficits (SAND) is being developed. The scale consists of 6 subscales, namely, motor activities, visual-spatial processing, attention, memory, executive functions and activities of daily living. The internal consistency reliability (item, subscale intercorrelation and split half reliability) and test-retest reliability was assessed on a sample of 30 normal participants screened on General Health Questionnaire. Overall, findings suggest that SAND) has fair internal consistency (average inter-item correlation was.741 and split-half reliability for various subscales is near or above.90) and test-retest reliability (from.750 to.978 on various subscales; average test-retest reliability.875).
