The study was conducted to evaluate the level of Self-esteem and Satisfaction with Life among working women and homemakers. The sample consisted of 60 women respondents, with age range from 25–35 years from Pune city, India. These subjects were equally divided into two categories 30 in each category on the basis of Job profile as working women and homemakers. Independent sample t-test was used to analyze the obtained data. The psychological tools administered include the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (Rosenberg, 1965) and Satisfaction with life scale (Diener et al., 1985) to assess level of satisfaction with life. Results indicated that, career women reported higher Mean scores on self-esteem and satisfaction with life and found statistically significant at 0.05 level. Thus, it can be inferred that the job profile among women plays a major role in holding a positive opinion about their self.
