Clear Cell Variant of Squammous Cell Carcinoma - a Rare Case Report

In recent years, head and neck cancer has become one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. 92–95% of all oral malignancies are oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC). Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common malignancy affecting the oral cavity which is usually associated with habit of smoking and smokeless tobacco. It occurs more frequently in males, usually in the 5th–6th decade of life. We report an unusual case of OSCCs composed predominantly of clear cells in an edentulous elderly female with no habitual history and the diagnosis was based on the clinical and histopathological examination.
