Abstract

The Ancient variant of schwannoma is a benign encapsulated neoplasm of the nerve sheath arises from schwann cells. A sixty year female patient attended OP with a complaint of swelling on the upper right hand. Gradually increasing over a ten year period and measuring 7x4x3cm. Surgical excision done and submitted for histopathology, reported as Ancient schwannoma. Recurrences are uncommon following surgical resection. Malignant transformation is extremely rare.
