In evaluating palpable breast lesions, Triple examination (TT) is a commonly used procedure consisting of physical examination (PE), mammography, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). TT determines the sen-sitivity, specificity, positive predictive value of breast lesions. In this study, fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and core needle biopsy (CNB) are the current methods of choice for pathological diagnosis Triple procedure can be employed as an alternative for excisional biopsy. In suspicious lesions and atypical lesions results and findings were correlated with CNB.
