Abstract

Primary splenic lymphoma constitutes less than 1% of all lymphomas. Spleen is usually involved in lymphoma as it is a secondary lymphoid organ. Although, in rare cases it can be primary site for lymphoma. Diffuse large B Cell Lymphoma most often involves spleen in macronodular pattern. We present a case of 40-year-old female with signs and symptoms of splenomegaly. After evaluation, she was found to have a cystic mass in the spleen. Splenectomy was done and histopathological and immunohistochemical (IHC) study revealed primary splenic lymphoma. This case report highlights pathologic evaluation of this illness.
