Abstract

Oral mucocutaneous diseases (MCDs) are a heterogeneous group of disorders that involve oral mucous membrane frequently and may involve skin, oral and other mucosae, especially the genital, nasal and ocular mucosae. The management of these conditions can only be carried out appropriately if there is an accurate diagnosis. In this review article, we are discussing the commonly used laboratory tests for the detection of various MCDs.
