Hydatid cyst is mainly caused by echinococcus granulosus. The literature so far shows very low incidence of involvement of ovary as site of hydatid cyst formation. Usually the duration of cyst formation is long, about 10–15 years. Our case is a very interesting case of ovarian cyst with previous no history of primary hydatid disease. Her investigations were suggestive of ovarian neoplasm but peroperatively it came out as hydatid cyst of ovary.
