Study of Prevalence of Type II Diabetics in Post-appendectomy Patients in Rajasthan Population

Abstract

110 Patients (65 male, & 45 females) who were non-Diabetics, Non-Hypertensive of different age groups were studied 4.1% of male and 2.1% of females developed type-2 diabetics within one 45 days of the appendectomy. Both sexes were belonged to middle class socio-economic status. The age group of the patients was 21to 45 who developed type-2 diabetics. This study creates many ifs and buts that, Diabetics type-2 could be due to both genetic and environmental factors. (1).If appendix is an vestigial organ or immunological in function (2)
