To know the surgical outcome of a pedicle graft taken from cheek for reconstructing lower lid defect following excision of lower lid mass involving medial canthus and more than two third length.
A 65 year old female presented to RIO OPD with Complain of Lower Lid Mass involving more than 2/3rd of the lower lid. The mass was firm to hard with margin well defined and indurated. This was in continuation with a rodent ulcer involving the canthus. The mass was excised leaving a healthy area of 4 mm around it. A pedical skin rotation flap was taken from cheek. Flap was sutured posteriorly with the conjunctiva and anteriorly with the adjoining skin and canthus was reconstructed. In every follow up, position of the graft and closure of the eye was noted. Skin sutures were removed after 10 days.
Post Operatively there was good cosmesis and function of lid was restored.
This is a good method of lower lid reconstruction for tumors involving more than 2/3rd of the length.
