Placenta accreta is an extremely rare form in which the placenta is directly anchored to the myometrium partially or completely. Placenta accreta may lead to severe postpartum haemorrhage. In our case a 24yr old primipara after delivery at periphery appeared with retained placenta which was later diagnosed on CTscan to be placenta accreta. She was managed conservatively with Inj. Methotrexate and could preserve her uterus.
