75 (seventy five). new born babies from Type -2 Diabetic mothers were studied anthropometrically. The body weight weighed by digital weighing Box, Crown-Heel length and Head circumference were measured by Tailors tape. The mean value of Body weight was 3.85cms (SD=0.04) Confidence Interval (95%) was 3.50–3.86. The mean value of Crown-Heel length was 50.83 cm (SD=0.05) CI (95%) was50.42 -50.84 and mean value of Head circumference was 35.47 cms (SD=0.11)CI (95%) was 34.60—35.48 cm. Correlative coefficient value between weight and Crown-Heel length was 0.69cm, t test value was 7.88 cm and p value was highly significant (p<0.05). Correlative coefficient between Body weight and Head circumference was 0.72,t test value was 8.33 and p value was highly significant (p<0.01). Regression Equation value were 15.12, 0.23, and 0.19 respectively which were highly significant statistically (p<0.01) out of these three values of Body weight., Crown-Heel length and Head circumference if any one value is known whole body of New born can be explored. These Anthropometrical parameters will be useful to the Radiologist to correlate these data during Radiological examination like USG, X-ray in pregnant diabetic women and protocol to obstetrician and Gynecologist to treat the diabetic pregnencies with appropriate drugs and dosage, and to the pediatrician to correlate these data with various diseases of new born during treatment because new born from Diabetic mothers will have multiple complications with Neural tube and cardiovascular system.
