Clinical profile of patients with haemorrhoids

Abstract

To study the clinical profile of patients presenting with haemorrhoids

Hundred cases of clinically diagnosed haemorrhoids patients were studied and compared with data from literature

Maximum number of patient were female [55%]. Fourth decade has highest patient [42%]. Haemorrhoids more common in housewives [55%]. Mixed diet [62%] is risk factor for haemorrhoids. Constipation is common [65%] symptom. Right posterior is common location of haemorrhoids [54%]. Second degree haemorrhoids [38%] are common. Conservative management [65%] is preferred mode of treatment. Fibrothrombosis is commonest complication of haemorrhoids

Haemorrhoids are more common in female, fourth decade age group, mixed diet consumer. Right posterior, second degree haemorrhoids are common. Conservative management is preferred. Fibrothrombsis is common complication.
