The present study is an attempt to evaluate the role of MR imaging in chronic low back in young adults and is a step forward to correlate the clinical findings with MR findings and to correlate the extent of disease on MRI with the visual analogue scale.and to find the distribution of different causes of chronic low back pain as seen in patients below the age of 40 years
A prospective study of 95 patients were carried in the department of Radiodignosis, Saraswathi institute of medical sciences, and were evaluated using GE Brio 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machin

MRI is definitely a noninvasive, radiation free better choice to diagnose with a good differentiating ability for both soft tissue and bony structures16, 17. The findings in present study showed a useful role of MRI in understanding the nature of spinal disorders and extent of involvement in association with pain intensity in order to determine the further interventional strategy. The findings are interesting but need further substantiation in larger studies with more corroborative outcomes.
