The removal of salinity from clay during manufacturing period of bricks has proven to be an effective solution for long term structural performance. In this paper, experimental study is carried out to evaluate the removal of different clay salinity by varies removal techniques for the purpose of producing good quality bricks under environmental condition. Four different processes have been adopted for the removal of clay salinity under different stages of environmental exposure condition. A comparison of test results between different removal techniques shows the burning technique gives significant reduction in salinity as compared to that of other techniques. Moreover, the variations of salinity with different parameters were also identified in this study. It is concluded that clay salinity reduction can be achieved by the different removal technique for producing good quality conventional structural brick.
