Abstract

Field experiments were conducted during rainy (Kharif) seasons of 1997 to 2002 at Research farm. College of Agriculture, Dhule Maharastra State, India to evaluate the productivity of different genotypes of rainfed cotton (Gossypium arboreum L) under different soil fertility management. Cultivars Namdev (PA-141) and Savata (PA-183) yielded significantly higher seed cotton. Application of 75.00: 37.50: 37.50 kg NPK ha’1 recorded significantly higher seed cotton yield as well as growth and yield contributing characters indicating that under rainfed condition in Maharashtra State, for cotton the varieties Namdev and Savata the above fertilization schedule is appropriate.
