Effect of soil and foliar application of nutrients and use of PSB on yield and water productivity of chickpea under rainfed conditions of eastern Uttar Pradesh

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2020-21 and 2021-22 at Agronomy Research Farm of ANDUA&T, Ayodhya to study the effect of soil and foliar application of nutrients and use of PSB on yield and water productivity of chickpea under rainfed conditions. Application of 100 kg DAP/ha as basal + 2 sprays of 2% ZnSO₄/ha at 25 & 45 DAS resulted in highest seed yield (22.73 q/ha), straw yield (34.16 q/ha), consumptive use (124.05 mm), water use efficiency (25.87 kg/ha/mm) and B:C ratio of 3.03 compared to other treatments.
