Abstract

In this paper we consider the steady flow of a Newtonian fluid on free convection and mass transfer along with rotating fluid through a porous medium in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The governing equations are made dimensionless and similarity transformations are introduced so that boundary layer equations which are partial differential equations now reduce to a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. A shooting iteration method is used to integrate these equations and results for the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are presented graphically along with the different range of dimensionless numbers of permeability parameter K, magnetic parameter M, rotational parameter R, suction parameter Fw, Dufour parameter Df and soret parameter Sr at the wall.
