Abstract

As ontologies, alignments are not cast in stone once for all. In particular, when ontologies evolve, it is necessary to evolve alignments accordingly. This evolution is fruitful because the alignments are expensive and rare source due to their manual creation. Moreover, it does not exist until now an alignment method able to generate a reliable alignment. This paper presents an approach for alignments evolution. We study the impact of the ontological changes over alignment to determine its compatibility with evolved ontology. We transform the ontological change into alignment, which will be composed with the original alignment to generate the new alignment.
