Push-pull strategy for the management of H. armigera (Hub.) on cotton along with conjunctive use of trap crops (pigeon pea and sunflower), restricted application of NSE 5% on cotton leaving trap crop and application of NPV (250 LE/ha) on trap crop was evaluated in the field during kharif season of 2006–07 at Dr. P.D.K.V., Akola. Studies revealed that treatment in which cotton crop was treated with NSE 5% and trap crop (pigeon pea) treated with NPV (250 LE/ha) was found significantly superior as minimum eggs (5.22/plant), larva (0.86/plant), damage in fruiting bodies (0.90%) and locule damage (6.60%) were recorded in main cotton crop. Maximum yield (862 kg/ha) and monetary return was also recorded in same treatment.
