Abstract

Efficacy of eight plants, extracted in cow urine used at @ 5ml/liter was evaluated against white grub (Brahmina coriacea Hope) for their oviposition deterrence, ovicidal effect and against hatching and survival of first instar during 2008 and 2009. In choice test, no egg laying was recorded in the extract of NSK (Azadirachta indica L.). Minimum hatching and survival was recorded in NSK (Av. 15.05%). The highest per cent mortality of first instar was recorded by NSK (Av. 95.00%) and stinging nettle, Urtica dioca L. (Av.93.03%).
