Four essential oils viz., Chenopodium ambrosioides L., Clausena pentaphylla (Roxb.), Mentha arvensis L. and Ocimum sanctum L. were evaluated on the pulse beetles (Callosobruchus chinensis and C. maculatus) on pigeon pea grains. The contact toxicity was found to be most effective in comparison to fumigant and seed fumigation. All these oils exhibited inhibition of oviposition and emergence.
