Abstract

Field studies conducted during kharif seasons of 2005 and 2006 with okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) variety Pusa Sawani showed that the EC and WSG formulations of emamectin benzoate at equal dose (9 g ai/ha) was significantly effective in reducing the incidence of fruit borer and increased the yield of fruits. The higher doses of EC formulation of emamectin benzoate were found more effective and increased the yield. There was no phytotoxic effect of any of the treatments. The results suggest that either EC or WSG formulations based on emamectin benzoate could be recommended as a component of sustainable management.
