Field experiments conducted on relative efficacy of flubendiamide 480 SC at 50, 75 and 100 ml/ha along with indoxacarb 14. 5SC at 500ml/ha and spinosad 45 SC at 187. 5 ml/ha against pod borers viz., Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) and Maruca testulalis (L) in pigeon pea during 2006 and 2007 revealed that all three insecticides were superior in reducing the infestation. However, flubendiamide 480 SC at lOOml/ha caused significantly high reduction in larvae, recorded minimum flower and pod damage and significantly high seed yield. Insecticidal treatments did not cause adverse effects on population of natural enemies in pigeon pea.
