Abstract

A field experiment was conducted for three consecutive years 2006–2008 in rabi season to find out the most effective and economic IPM module of sorghum ecosystem at Sorghum Research Station, Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani. The results revealed that sorghum with seed treatment of thiamethoxam 70 WS, 3gm/kg was most effective against shoot fly and recorded highest 1: 12.83 Incremental cost benefit ratio (ICBR). The next best treatment was sorghum with seed treatment of thiamethoxam 70 WS, 3gm/kg, inter-cropped with safflower (6:3) which has recorded 1: 11.81 ICBR.
