Twenty species of whiteflies were known from Myanmar up to now. During the course of a visit to Insein and Yangon in Myanmar in October 2011 the senior author collected whiteflies from these areas. The collections added 7 new records of whiteflies to our existing knowledge of Myanmar whitefly fauna. New records are: Aleurocanthus spiniferus (Quaintance), Bemisia breyniae (Singh), Dialeurolonga malleshwaramensis Sundararaj, Minutaleyrodes minuta (Singh), Dialeuropora decempuncta (Quaintance & Baker), Singhiella sp. and the sprialling whitefly Aleurodicus dispersus Russell.
