Abstract

24 species of thrips inhabiting the leguminous plants have been reported. Key for nine genera of the subfamily Thripinae is provided along with species specific details of 24 species. A brief note on the biology of Megalurothrips peculiaris Bagnall is added in which the duration of its life cycle from egg to adult emergence is 18.4 and 21.1 days, respectively on Dolichos lablab L., and the weed Vicia tetrasperma (L) Moench.
