An investigation was carried out at Regional Agricultural Research Station(RARS), Titabor and Instructional Cum Research (ICR) Farm, Assam Agricultural University. Jorhat to evaluate the efficacy of zinc phosphide (2.0%) and bromadiolone (0.005%) against Bandicota bengalensis in boro and sali rice during 2010–11 and 2011–12, respectively. Among treatments, zinc phosphide baiting at panicle initiation stage followed by bromadiolone as cake 10 days after application of zinc phosphide were found to be most effective in respect of live burrow/ha(7.13 and 10.08),trap index (2.74 and 6.43) and cut tillers (3.23 and 4.41%) in boro and sali rice, respectively. This was followed by bromadiolone as cake at panicle initiation and milky stage which recorded (7.62 and 11.30) LBC/ha, (2.98 and 6.62) trapping index and (4.48 and 5.73%) cut tillers damage in both boro and sali rice, respectively.
