Abstract

Seventeen species of parasitoids infecting six insect pests were collected from the rice growing areas of the valley districts of Manipur. These parasitoids belonged to family Braconidae, Ichneumonidae, Chalcididae, Eulophidae and Tachinidae, and were active from June to November with 3–45% parasitism. The larval density of all the six caterpillar pests, percentage parasitism by the respective parasitoids and their relative abundance for three years (2009–2011) are presented.
