The predatory potential of Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Mulsant on different life-stages of cotton mealybug, P. solenopsis (Tinsley) viz., egg stage, first instar nymphs (crawlers) and second instar nymphs was studied at the Biocontrol Agents Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Entomology, College of Agriculture, Latur under room temperature during 2011. The consumption rate of grubs and beetles of C. montrouzieri was in the order of egg > first instar nymphs > second instar nymphs of P. solenopsis.
