Relative toxicity of some insecticides to Coccinella transversalis (F.)

Abstract

Study on relative toxicity of insecticides on eggs, larvae and adults of Coccinella transversalis (F.) revealed that prophenofos 0.075% and acephate 0.1% proved to be the most toxic. Further, acetamiprid 0.004% and thiamethoxam 0.005% were moderately toxic to the egg and larvae, and acetamiprid 0.004% was found moderately toxic to the adults, whereas imidacloprid 0.005% was found least toxic to the larvae, and thiamethoxam 0.005% and imidacloprid 0.005% were found least toxic to the adults.
