A new species of Neoseiulus hughes (Acari: mesostigmata: phytoseiidae)

Abstract

Neoseiulus is the largest of the genera under Phytoseiidae, and in this genus. Neoseiulus datura sp. nov., a new species of phytoseiid mite from Nelliyampathy, Kerala, is described herein. It is based on specimens collected on datura. This new species differs in its characters like vase shape of ventrianal shield, fixed (1–3 teeth), movable digit (8–9 teeth) and Z5 serrate.
