Fifty Abelmoschus esculentus wild cultivars were evaluated for resistance against leaf hopper (Amrasca biguttula biguttula), whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and shoot and fruit borer (Earias sp.) field conditions in kharif 2014 at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. The results revealed that five cultivars viz, IC89926,V-1887, IC116989, IC-112505 and SA-229 harboured less number of nymphal leaf hopper population and these significantly differed. Four cultivars such as V-437, V-442, EC-169443 and EC 305609 were found resistant to whitefly. Against shoot and fruit borer, cultivars EC 169358, EC 169461 and V1915 were resistant, completely free from infestation and significantly differing.
