Population dynamics of mustard aphid Lipaphis erysimi

Mustard aphid (Lipaphis erysimi Kalt.) is one of the major pests of rapeseed-mustard, and a study was carried out on its population dynamics on mustard in relation to temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, and sunshine hours during 2012–2013, 2013–2014, and 2014–2015. The incidence of aphids started from 51^st standard week, and disappeared after 11^th standard week with the peak population being observed during 7^th to 9^th standard week. The population dynamics with correlation studies did not reveal any consistent relationship with the weather factors.
