Seasonal incidence of whitefly Bemisia Tabaci in Brinjal

The experiment was conducted at AICRP on Water Management, VNMKV, Parbhani, to study the seasonal incidence of whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) on brinjal during 2^nd to 13^th meteorological weeks (MW) of summer 2014 and 50^th to 9^th meteorological weeks of summer 2015. The results indicated that the population was at its peak from second week of January to last week of March (2^nd to 13^th MW) and third week of December to first week of March (50^th to 9^th MW). The first peak of 23.00 whitefly/plant occurred during 7^th MW (12 to 18 February) in summer 2014 and during summer 2015, with the maximum population of 23.50 whitefly/plant being observed during 6 to 12 February.
