Check listing of the fauna of aquatic Coleoptera in irrigated rice revealed 262 species of 110 genera under 17 families. The aquatic coleopteran rice fauna is dominated by Hydrophilidae (22 genera, 94 species) followed by Dytiscidae (40 and 90, respectively). The feeding guild comprised predominantly predators (84%) followed by herbivores (14%) and scavengers (2%).
