Field experiment on the efficacy of five insecticides and a green pesticide (neem leaf extract) was conducted at Sabour against linseed bud fly, Dasyneura lini Barnes. It was found that all these showed significant reduction in infestation and increased yield. Fenvalerate 20 EC @ 0.005% and imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.0035% proved to be the most effective (8.25 and 8.57% infestation; 5.21 and 4.54 q ha−1 yield, respectively).
