Biorational management of pink boll worm pectinophora gossypiella (saunders) in bt cotton

The field experiment conducted in the research farm of Cotton Research Unit, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, during kharif 2018-19, revealed that the least pink boll worm damage on open boll was in the treatment T₆ i.e. 10.83 % where weekly destruction of rosette flower along with five releases of trichocards @ 8 cards/ha alternated with 4 sprays of azadirachtin @ 10 ml/10 l at 10 days interval starting at 50 DAE were carried out. Maximum seed cotton yield (12.53 q/ha) was also observed in the same. The cost benefit ratio of weekly destruction of rosette flowers followed by five releases of trichocards @ 8 cards/ha alternated with 4 sprays of azadirachtin @ 10 ml/10 l at 10 days interval starting at 50 DAE was concluded as economical.
