This study evaluates the brinjal germplasm for their reaction against two spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae Koch based on mean mite incidence and damage grade index. None of the germplasm screened was found to be highly resistant, while Arka Nidhi, Manapparai Local, Namakkal Local, Arka Anand and Chinthapalli Local-2 were found to be resistant (damage score of 0–4). Tiruppur Local showed maximum incidence in terms of mites/ cm2 of leaf area (damage score 4) and thus highly susceptible.
