Abstract

Field experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Arnej during November 2017 to February 2018 to evaluate the efficacy of nine insecticides against the pink stem borer Sesamia inferens (Walker) infesting durum wheat. Spraying of chlorantraniliprole 18.5SC @ 0.006% was found significantly superior over other insecticides with maximum grain as well as straw yield (16.42 and 23.93 qt/ ha, respectively). Maximum ICBR was registered with seed treatment of chlorpyriphos 20EC (1:20.83) followed by chlorantraniliprole 18.5SC (1:10.46) and spraying of spinosad 45SC (1:9.52).
