The efficacy of insecticides was evaluated for the management of leaf invading thrips Gynaikothrips bengalensis Ananthakrishnan on Ficus benjamina. Imidacloprid 17.8SL, dinotefuran 20SG, acephate 75SP, thiamethoxam 25WG and thiacloprid 21.7SC were found to be significantly effective in suppressing thrips. Among the insecticides evaluated significant superiority was observed with imidacloprid 17.8SL and dinotefuran 20SG.
