The present study provides a new distribution record of Pheropsophus indicus Venugopal and Thomas from the Northern Western Ghats, Maharashtra a globally recognized biodiversity hotspot with its description. A photograph of the male genitalia is also provided. This finding contributes to the distribution and diversity of Brachininae in India, highlighting the significance of the Western Ghats as a region of high conservation value.
