Abstract

The investigations on the evaluation of linseed genotypes against bud fly, Dasyneura lini (Barnes) was conducted at Research Farm of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar, India during Rabi 2021 and 2022. Eight seven genotypes were screened for resistance against bud fly, D. lini, and were categorized. Out of them, 24 genotypes were reacted as resistant, 33 genotypes were moderately resistant, 27 genotypes moderately susceptible and three genotypes susceptible to bud fly infestation. The observed resistant genotypes are NL 371, BRLS 109-5, BRLS 111-2, RLC 190, SLS 139, LMS-2019-R-8, BAU-2021-06, LCK 2037, RL 18106, BA 2019-13, SLS 129, LMS 2017-1-12, SHA 5, NL 367, BRLS 109-5, RLC 193, BRLS 109-2, LCK 2132, BRLS 109-2, RLC 189, LCK 2140, BRLS 109-5, RL 18114 and KL 263. The resistant genotypes observed against bud flies may be used as donor parents in the multiple resistance breeding programme of linseed.
