Abstract

An experiment was conducted at the experimental farm of Department of Entomology, VNMKV, Parbhani, during kharif 2022-23 to evaluate the efficacy of coloured sticky traps on sucking pests on chilli. Significantly highest numbers of aphids and whiteflies with (101.64 aphids/ trap/ week and 97.73 whiteflies/ trap/ week), were trapped on yellow colored trap placed along the crop canopy. Significantly highest numbers of leafhooper (97.13 leaf hoppers/ trap/ week) were trapped on green-coloured sticky traps. Highest number of thrips (99.29 thrips/ trap/ week) were trapped on blue colored sticky trap.
