The incidence of Xenocatantops humilis and Hygracris palutris was observed from September 2022 to August 2023. The results showed that their incidence varied significantly over seasons- X. humilis recorded the highest in January and no record in July and August whereas H. palutris recorded highest in August and September and no records in March, April and May. The relationship of X. humilis revealed very strong negative correlation with maximum temperature (r= -0.856), strong negative correlation with minimum temperature and rainfall (r= -0.785 and -0.663) and moderate negative correlation with RH (r= -0.563). In contrast, H. palutris showed a weak positive correlation with maximum temperature and rainfall (r= 0.245 and 0.357), very weak positive correlation with minimum temperature (r= 0.157) and moderate positive correlation with RH (r= 0.492).
