This study analyzed arthropod diversity in rice cultivation using the legowo 2:1 planting system and the direct seeding method in Barana Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, from November 2022 to February 2023. Arthropods were sampled using pitfall traps, insect nets, and direct observation, with identification performed at Hasanuddin University. Results showed higher natural enemy diversity in both systems, with a diversity index of 2.64 in legowo and 2.67 in direct seeding. Herbivorous arthropods were 43.64% in legowo and 56.36% in direct seeding. Rice yield was higher in the legowo system (5.58 tons/ ha) compared to direct seeding (5.21 tons/ ha), highlighting the legowo 2:1 system's effectiveness in pest control and yield improvement.
