Abstract

This work aims to conduct a comparative study of the biometrics of two species Orthpodomyia pulcripalpis and Culex laticinctus harvested from two ecologically and climatically different regions: Annaba (humid) and Oum El Bouaghi (semi-arid). The statistical analysis by multivariate variance (Manova) showed that there is a very highly significant difference in measurements for male and female adults of Orthpodomyia pulcripalpis. A very highly significant difference between female adults and larvae of Culex laticinctus from the two regions was revealed.
